A Child Is Born — Advent Sermon Series

A Child Is Born — Advent Sermon Series

This Advent, we enter the story of God’s long-awaited promise- a promise fulfilled in the most surprising way: through the birth of a child. As we prepare our hearts for celebrating Christmas, we’ll explore the deep hope that sustains us as we wait on God, discovering again the peace, joy, love, and fulfillment
that come with Christ’s arrival.

Join us as we remember that in Jesus, God keeps every promise - and a child is born to bring light to all.

Finishing the Year in Gratitude

Finishing the Year in Gratitude

As this year draws to a close, we pause to give thanks for your faithful generosity. Every gift has helped our church live out its mission — worshiping God, serving neighbors, and growing disciples. Your giving makes ministry possible, from the lights in the sanctuary to the lives touched in our community.

If you find you’ve fallen a bit behind on your giving this year, there’s still time to catch up. A year-end gift, whether large or small, helps your church finish strong and start the new year on a solid footing. Most of all, it’s an act of gratitude — a way of saying “thank you” to God for blessings received.

Together, we are the body of Christ, and every offering — every dollar, every prayer, every act of service — strengthens our shared witness. Thank you for your faithfulness!

Church Cross Repairs

Church Cross Repairs

The United Methodist Men are looking forward to completing the project of repairing the UMC Cross logo on the west side of the church. Rosenbaum Signs has ordered the parts and will be doing the repairs once they have been received.

The bid for this repair is $6000. United Methodist Men has donations but is giving everyone a chance to help. Any donations or contributions can be made payable to the United Methodist Men (UMM).

If you have any questions, reach out to Tim Brown 701-830-2162.

Free Little Pantry

We’re collecting donations for the Free Little Pantry, a community resource providing non-perishable food and necessities to those in need. Items such as snacks, toiletries, and hygiene products are greatly appreciated. A list of suggested items is posted on the church bulletin board and pantry door.

The UMC - Alter Youth Group has installed the donation box at the entry of the church parking lot.
