AnnouncementsDaily Scripture Readings – April – BOTH/AND - Week 2 - April 19: Sunday – Acts 10:9-16 "Both/And" Bible Study - Starting April 26th at 8:30am, join us for a Bible study that complements our April sermon series. We'll gather each week through the month of May for discussion, reflection, and encouragement as we grow together in faith. Whether you are new to Bible study or have attended before, all are welcome! Noodles & Crafts Group – Come get creative! Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just like to try new things, this group is all about fun, fellowship, and making something special together. All are welcome to come this Tuesday, April 21st at 9:00 am. Youth Group – All Middle (6-8th) and High School (9-12th) students are welcome to join on Wednesdays at 5:30 pm. Bring a friend and come hang out, have fun, and grow together! Esther Fellowship Group – Start your morning with connection and encouragement. The Esther Fellowship Group invites all women to gather this Thursday, April 23rd at 9:00 am. Come enjoy uplifting conversation, laughter, and meaningful time together. Summer Lawncare Position Available – We are looking for someone (age 16+) to provide lawn care around the church building once a week during the summer. Duties include mowing, weed eating, and edging within the paved areas surrounding the church (not the outer field). Equipment is provided. This is a flat fee position of $25 per week. Position starts soon, ideally before the end of May. Contact the church office at 605-720-5578, if you are interested. CISS Women’s Shelter Supplies Drive – Kylina, a National Honor Society student from Sturgis Brown High School, is organizing a donation drive to support the CISS Women’s Shelter here in Sturgis. They are collecting hygiene products, cleaning supplies, baby items (diapers sizes 1-6 and wipes). And new clothing (underwear, socks, and bras). Donations may be placed in the collection box located in the Fellowship Hall. All items are due by April 23rd. Thank you for helping support women and families in need in our community. We Want to Celebrate Your Graduate! – Do you have a student graduating this spring? Let us know so we can celebrate this special milestone! Please contact the church office by noon on April 27th at 605-720-5578. Sturgis UMC Church App – Take Sturgis UMC with you! We are excited to introduce our new Sturgis United Methodist Church app – a simple way to stay connected wherever you are. Connection Cards – We’d love to connect with you! Please take a moment to fill out a Connection Card in the lobby, and once completed, place it in the basket. As a thank you, please feel free to choose one of the books provided. Free Little Pantry – Our Free Little Pantry is available for anyone who may need a little extra help. Please feel free to take what you need, that’s what it’s here for. If you are able, you’re also welcome to give what you can. Donations of non-perishable food, snacks, toiletries, and hygiene items are always appreciated. A suggested list of items is posted on the bulletin board. The UMC - Alter Youth Group has installed the pantry at the entry of the church parking lot. For larger donations, please coordinate with the church office staff. Treehouse After School Program – Treehouse meets Tuesdays at 3:30 pm. If interested in enrolling your child, please call Lina Raths 605-490-7247. If you would like to volunteer, please add your name to the sign-up sheet. Newsletters – We are currently experiencing issues with our emailed newsletters being delivered to some inboxes. We are working with the provider on finding a solution. While this gets sorted out, you can view the newsletters anytime by accessing the ‘About’ tab on our website (www.sturgisumc.org). Thank you for your patience and understanding.
