AnnouncementsDaily Scripture Readings – Week of April 26: Sunday – Romans 12:2 "Both/And" Bible Study - Sundays at 8:30am, join us for a Bible study that complements our current sermon series. We'll gather each week through the month of May for discussion, reflection, and encouragement as we grow together in faith. Whether you are new to Bible study or have attended before, all are welcome! Youth Group – All Middle (6-8th) and High School (9-12th) students are welcome to join on Wednesdays at 5:30 pm. Bring a friend and come hang out, have fun, and grow together! Elizabeth Fellowship Group – Looking for a mid-week moment to pause and connect? The Elizabeth Fellowship Group welcomes all women to join them Tuesday, April 28th at 7:00 pm. Come enjoy heartfelt conversation, supportive community, and a relaxed evening of fellowship. May Communion Date Change – Please note that our Communion service, originally scheduled for May 3rd, has been moved to Sunday, May 10th. We warmly invite you to join us as we come together to worship and reflect on the significance of this blessed tradition. Everyone is welcome, and we look forward to seeing you there! Summer Lawncare Position Available – We are looking for someone (age 16+) to provide lawn care around the church building once a week during the summer. Duties include mowing, weed eating, and edging within the paved areas surrounding the church (not the outer field). Equipment is provided. This is a flat fee position of $25 per week. Position starts soon, ideally before the end of May. Contact the church office at 605-720-5578, if you are interested. We Want to Celebrate Your Graduate! – Do you have a student graduating this spring? Let us know so we can celebrate this special milestone! Please contact the church office by noon on April 27th at 605-720-5578. Sturgis UMC Church App – Take Sturgis UMC with you! We are excited to introduce our new Sturgis United Methodist Church app – a simple way to stay connected wherever you are. Connection Cards – We’d love to connect with you! Please take a moment to fill out a Connection Card in the lobby, and once completed, place it in the basket. As a thank you, please feel free to choose one of the books provided. Free Little Pantry – Our Free Little Pantry is available for anyone who may need a little extra help. Please feel free to take what you need, that’s what it’s here for. If you are able, you’re also welcome to give what you can. Donations of non-perishable food, snacks, toiletries, and hygiene items are always appreciated. A suggested list of items is posted on the bulletin board. The UMC - Alter Youth Group has installed the pantry at the entry of the church parking lot. For larger donations, please coordinate with the church office staff. Newsletters – We are currently experiencing issues with our emailed newsletters being delivered to some inboxes. We are working with the provider on finding a solution. While this gets sorted out, you can view the newsletters anytime by accessing the ‘About’ tab on our website (www.sturgisumc.org). Thank you for your patience and understanding. Want to Promote an Event or Ministry? – Do you have something you’d like to share with the church family? Whether it’s an upcoming event, ministry opportunity, fundraisers, or special announcement, we’d love to help spread the word in our monthly newsletter! To ensure your information is included, please submit all newsletter items by the 25th of each month. This allows us time to prepare and publish the upcoming issue.
