Announcements
Thank You, Rally Breakfast Volunteers – As Rally week comes to a close, we want to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who volunteered at our Rally Breakfasts this year! Your early mornings, hard work, warm smiles, and willingness to serve helped make this ministry possible. Because of you, we were able to welcome and bless the Sturgis City workers who work so hard behind the scenes throughout Rally week. We are so grateful for every person who gave their time, whether you helped for one morning or joined us throughout the week. Your service, hospitality, and generosity are a wonderful reflection of God’s love. Thank you for showing up, serving others, and being part of this special ministry! We appreciate each and every one of you! United Women in Faith Quilt Raffle – Don’t miss your chance to win some wonderful prizes while supporting the ministry of United Women in Faith! The raffle drawing will be held on November 7 during the UWF Fall Bazaar. This year’s prizes include a beautifully handmade quilt, grocery gift cards, a gas gift card, and more! Raffle tickets are just $5 each, making it easy to join in the fun and support a great cause. If you would like to purchase a ticket, please contact a member of United Women in Faith. Thank you for supporting this ministry and helping make their work in our community possible! Congregation Photo Directory – We are excited to begin creating a new online and app-based photo directory for our congregation! This directory will include members' names and photos and will be available to everyone in our church family. We are working on taking photos for the directory. This resource will help our new pastor learn names and faces more quickly while also making it easier for all of us—whether you've been here for years or are new to the congregation—to get to know one another. We hope everyone will participate so our directory can be as complete and welcoming as possible! Cookers for Christ – Cookers for Christ will be meeting this month on August 25th at 8:30 am. Those volunteering to help will meet here at the church. Tech Team Training & Brainstorming Session – On Sunday, August 30th, we’ll gather after worship for some tech team training, troubleshooting, and brainstorming. We’ll take some time to go over the changes Dan has made to the system, talk about any problems or challenges we’ve experienced, and share troubleshooting tips and solutions that have worked in the past. Everyone who is currently involved with the tech team, as well as anyone who is interested in learning more or helping with tech, is encouraged to attend. This will be a great opportunity to ask questions, share ideas, and learn from one another as we continue improving our tech ministry. We hope you’ll join us! Daily Scripture Readings – We invite you to spend time each day in God's Word through these daily Scripture readings. These passages are selected to complement the worship life of the Church and provide opportunities for prayer, reflection, and spiritual growth throughout the week. May these readings encourage you, strengthen your faith, and draw you closer to Christ each day. August 17th – August 22nd, 2026
These daily readings are provided through the Revised Common Lectionary Daily Readings. Source: Daily Readings – Revised Common Lectionary.
