Members and leaders of the Sturgis UMC Youth Group met with youth from UM churches across the region this weekend in Rapid City
for a time of fun, mission, and worship.

Lenten Sermon Series

Starts Sunday, February 22nd

Do you ever feel like if you just make it over the next hurdle or reach your next goal that you will have finally arrived in life? Many people do, including our Biblical friends, but guess what? That’s called the arrival fallacy, and it can keep us feeling disappointed and unhappy when we get to the “next thing” and find we still haven’t arrived at our hoped-for destination. We are still unfailingly human, flawed, broken. This Lent, let us learn to savor our uniquely human journey without the pressure of arrival, as we reconnect with the God of Jesus Christ who leads us in the way, providing sustenance, meaning, and hope
through all our ups and downs.

2026 EASTER CANTATA NEWS

Singers are invited to join the 2026 Easter Cantata Choir.

Practices will be held every Sunday from 1:30-3:00 pm
beginning Feb. 15 – March 22 at Grace Lutheran Church in Sturgis.
Performances will be March 29 and 31.

Noodle & Crafts: Creating Connection

The Noodles & Crafts Group is a relaxed, creative time to connect and enjoy fellowship together. Each gathering is filled with conversation, laughter, and hands-on projects in a welcoming,
no-pressure enviroment.

No crafting experience needed - just come as you are.

This group meets the first and third Tuesdays
of the month at 9:00 am.

Free Little Pantry

Our Free Little Pantry is available for anyone
who may needa little extra help.

Please feel free to take what you need, that’s what it’s here for.
If you are able, you’re also welcome to give what you can.

Donations of non-perishable food, snacks, toiletries,
and hygiene items are always appreciated.
For larger donations, please coordinate with the church office staff.

The UMC - Alter Youth Group has installed the pantry at the entry
of the church parking lot.
