AnnouncementsAsh Wednesday Worship Service – Join us on Ash Wednesday (February 18th) at 6:00 pm, for a time of reflection, repentance, and renewal as we remember our need for God’s grace and our hope in Christ. Are We There Yet? – Lenten Series (Group Study) - Lent is a season for reflection, growth, and walking together in faith. As part of our “Are We There Yet?” Lenten Series, we’re forming a small group study that will gather weekly. This group would discuss the scripture readings, the sermon topic from the previous Sunday’s Worship Service, share perspectives, and encourage one another along the journey. This is a welcoming space for everyone. The group study would begin meeting the week of February 22nd. If you are interested in joining this group, or feel called to help facilitate it, we would love to have you be part of it. Please reach out to Pastor Jenene to learn more and sign up. Are We There Yet? Lessons for the Journey - Daily Scripture Readings - Use these scripture readings for your daily devotions from Ash Wednesday (Feb 18) to the week after Easter (Apr 5). The readings will relate to the message each Sunday. A small group guide is also available for those who want to go deeper. Ash Wednesday - 2/18: The Classic Overreach Noodles & Crafts Group – Come get creative! Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just like to try new things, this group is all about fun, fellowship, and making something special together. All are welcome to come this Tuesday, February 17th at 9:00 am. United Methodist Men – Will be meeting this Wednesday, February 18th at 7:00 am. Come share breakfast, conversation, and fellowship. Serving Together: Find Your Place to Serve – There’s a place for everyone to serve! If you’re interested in getting involved or just want to learn more, stop by the Welcome Table in the lobby and pick up a Serving Together form. If you feel called to serve, check any ministries that interest you - you may select more than one. Checking a box does not commit you to anything - it simply helps us connect with you and share the next steps. Once completed, return the form to the church office. Breeze Member Access – You should have received a couple emails from the “Church Office” introducing Breeze, our church membership system. Your invitation to set up your personal account was sent last week. Please keep an eye on your inbox – and check your spam folder just in case. If you have any questions or haven’t received any emails, feel free to reach out to the church office - 605-720-5578. “The Chosen” Bible Study - Join us every Sunday at 8:30 am to study along with the series "The Chosen." We will be watching and discussing the series along with reading scripture passages that coincide with the events in each episode. Bring your bible, notebook, writing utensils, and join us. Everyone is welcome. Youth Group – All Middle (6-8th) and High School (9-12th) students are welcome to join on Wednesdays at 5:30 pm. Come start the new year hanging out, having fun, and growing together! Connection Cards – We’d love to connect with you! Please take a moment to fill out a Connection Card in the lobby, and once completed, place it in the basket. As a thank you, please feel free to choose one of the books provided. Free Little Pantry – Our Free Little Pantry is available for anyone who may need a little extra help. Please feel free to take what you need, that’s what it’s here for. If you are able, you’re also welcome to give what you can. Donations of non-perishable food, snacks, toiletries, and hygiene items are always appreciated. A suggested list of items is posted on the bulletin board. The UMC - Alter Youth Group has installed the pantry at the entry of the church parking lot. For larger donations, please coordinate with the church office staff. Easter Cantata News - Singers are invited to join the 2026 Easter Cantata Choir. Practices will be held every Sunday from 1:30-3:00 pm beginning Feb. 15 – March 22 at Grace Lutheran Church in Sturgis. Performances will be March 29 and 31. All interested singers must contact Marlene Kotab at kotabgmc@rushmore.com or 605-347-1375 by January 25th. Come share the Easter message with our community. Treehouse After School Program – Treehouse meets Tuesdays at 3:30 pm. If interested in enrolling your child, please call Lina Raths 605-490-7247. We are looking for volunteers! We are always looking for more Greeters, Technology Assistants, and Communion Assistants! If you or someone you know is hospitalized, moves, has become homebound or has moved to a care center, please let the church office know by calling 605-720-5578 so we can include them in our caring ministries. |
