Do you ever feel like if you just make it over the next hurdle or reach your next goal that you will have finally arrived in life? Many people do, including our Biblical friends, but guess what? That’s called the arrival fallacy, and it can keep us feeling disappointed and unhappy when we get to the “next thing” and find we still haven’t arrived at our hoped-for destination. We are still unfailingly human, flawed, broken. This Lent, let us learn to savor our uniquely human journey without the pressure of arrival, as we reconnect with the God of Jesus Christ who leads us in the way, providing sustenance, meaning, and hope
through all our ups and downs.

Mark your calendars for two wonderful opportunities to enjoy good food while supporting meaningful causes in our community:

• The Kiwanis Annual Spring Fundraiser will be held on Sunday, March 22^nd from 5:00-6:00 PM at the Sturgis Community Center. For just $10, you can enjoy an all-you-can-eat soup supper. It’s a delicious way to support the great work Kiwanis does in our community.

• The following evening, join the Sturgis Alliance of Churches Annual Potato Feed on Monday, March 23^rd from 4:30-6:00 PM, also at the Sturgis Community Center. This event is a free-will donation, with proceeds helping those in need throughout the Sturgis area. Enjoy a baked potato with all the toppings, salad, coffee, and good fellowship.

These gatherings are wonderful opportunities to connect, give back, and strengthen our community together.

The Sturgis-Area Choir will present an Easter Cantata on Palm Sunday, March 29^th and Tuesday, March 31^st at 7:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Sturgis.

“Upon This Rock” looks at the Easter story through the eyes of Peter. 

Please join the choir as they bring the good news of Easter to our community.
